Live Review for GESC Permitting

For Single Family Home and other small projects, SEMSWA provides a Live Review Grading, Erosion and Sediment Control (GESC) permitting process.

This process applies to Single Family Residential Projects and other small projects (defined as Low Impact) that do not require a City of Centennial or Arapahoe County Land Use/Engineering review process. To see if your project can be permitted in this way please call to speak with a SEMSWA Land Development Engineer.

Live Review permitting is scheduled every Thursday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Please call and ask for a SEMSWA Land Development Engineer to set up an appointment time (appointments preferred). These reviews take approximately 30 minutes.

The applicant must bring the following items to SEMSWA for the Live Review:

Site Plan / Plot Plan / GESC Plan showing the proposed project or improvements. If possible, this plan should include topographic information. This plan does not need to be prepared by an engineer.
GESC Permit Application
Review and Permit fee totaling $720.00 for Low Impact Projects and $1,385.00 for Single Family Residential Projects, payable to SEMSWA.

During this time you will meet with a reviewer to discuss and define the appropriate construction management practices / control measures (CMs) for the proposed project. Once the necessary CMs are determined and approved, the Single Family Residential or Low Impact GESC permit will be processed for approval.

The GESC Permit will then be issued once a preconstruction meeting has been scheduled with the assigned inspector. Electronic copies will be routed to the City of Centennial and/or Arapahoe County.
